These terms are an agreement between you and Jellyquill Ltd ("Jellyquill", "we", "us"), the maker of Chatterpop. Jellyquill Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16395975. Registered office: 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX.
Chatterpop is licensed to you through Apple's App Store under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA"). These terms add to the Apple EULA. If the two conflict, these terms apply, except where the Apple EULA says otherwise about Apple's own rights.
By downloading or using Chatterpop you accept these terms. If you're under 18, please check them with a parent or guardian.
Using Chatterpop
We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Chatterpop on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, as the Apple EULA allows.
Free play and Chatterpop Plus
Chatterpop is free to download. Free play gives you a set amount of playing time each day, currently 5 minutes. Chatterpop Plus is an optional subscription that removes the daily limit. The app shows exactly what each plan includes, and its price in your local currency, before you buy.
Subscriptions
- Chatterpop Plus is available as a monthly or a yearly subscription.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends, at the same price unless we've told you about a change in advance.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your iPhone's Settings: tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep Plus until the end of the period you've paid for.
- If we raise the price of a subscription, Apple will tell you in advance and, where the law requires, ask you to agree before you're charged the new price.
Free trials
The yearly plan may start with a free trial of 7 days for new subscribers. When the trial ends, the subscription starts and you're charged unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Each Apple Account can have one free trial. If you buy a subscription during a trial, any unused part of the trial ends.
Refunds
Apple processes all payments for Chatterpop, so refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com and follow Apple's policies. We can't refund App Store purchases ourselves. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
Words, pictures and voices
We check Chatterpop's words, translations, pictures and recordings for accuracy. Language varies from place to place, and mistakes can happen. Chatterpop is a game for learning, not a professional translation service. Some of Chatterpop's pictures and voices are made with the help of AI tools and checked by us. If you spot something wrong, please tell us using our contact form.
Fair use
Please don't copy, sell, modify, reverse-engineer or redistribute Chatterpop or its content, except where the law allows you to. Don't use it in a way that breaks the law or interferes with how it works for others.
Ownership
Chatterpop, its games, art, sounds, word lists and the names Chatterpop and Jellyquill belong to us or the people we license them from. These terms don't give you any rights in them beyond the licence above.
Changes to Chatterpop and these terms
We update Chatterpop regularly to add words, levels and games and to fix problems, and features may change over time. We may update these terms too. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you don't agree, you can stop using Chatterpop and cancel any subscription.
Our responsibility to you
If we break these terms or fail to use reasonable care and skill, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result. We're not responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, or for business losses. Chatterpop is for personal use.
If digital content we supply damages your device or other digital content, and that's because we didn't use reasonable care and skill, we'll either repair the damage or compensate you.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Ending and governing law
You can stop using Chatterpop at any time. We may suspend access if you seriously break these terms. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring a claim in your local courts, and if you live in the EU you keep the protection of your own country's consumer laws.
